Sepsis Awareness & Prevention in Healthcare
Early Detection. Timely Intervention. Saving Lives.
Overview
This program equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to identify early signs of sepsis, initiate rapid response measures, and improve patient outcomes. Through case-based learning and realistic scenarios, participants will strengthen their ability to recognize high-risk patients, apply evidence-based treatment protocols, and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Course Objectives
  1. Understand the pathophysiology of sepsis and septic shock.
  2. Identify early warning signs and symptoms across diverse patient populations.
  3. Apply evidence-based screening and diagnostic tools in clinical practice.
  4. Implement rapid intervention strategies to reduce morbidity and mortality.
  5. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams during a sepsis event.
  6. Review CMS and hospital-specific protocols for sepsis management.
