Dr. Ali Javed
Attending Physician

Muhammad "Ali" Javed MBBS FCCP FCCM, is an Attending Physician at Mercy Hospital in St Louis, Missouri. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Saint Louis University. He graduated from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan in 2000. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2007, followed by a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Saint Louis University in 2010. He has served as core teaching faculty at the department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at both the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) / Truman Medical Center and Saint Louis University (SLU).
Dr. Ali Javed currently practices at Mercy Hospital St Louis, where he is the Associate Program Director of the Critical Care fellowship and the Program Director for the Transitional Year Medicine program. He has been an educator throughout his career and supervises medical trainees at all levels (students, residents and fellows) in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. His interest in medical education lead him to simulation in medicine, bedside ultrasonography and disaster medicine/emergency preparedness. He is currently enrolled in a Master of Healthcare Simulation Program at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. His eventual goal is to leverage health informatics and artificial intelligence to incorporate these into medical education.
