Jose Chavez
Clinical Nurse Specialist
Jose Chavez is a doctoral prepared Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
He is a CNS over the Cardiac Medical Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Step-Down Unit. He has been a nurse for 14 years, served in the United States Navy Nurse Corps Reserves as a Critical Care Nurse from 2012 to 2020 where he was honorably discharged at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He is an active member and serves on committees of NACNS, AACN and SCCM. He was designated Associate of American College of Cardiology in 2018 and recipient of the 2022 President’s Award at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
