Health care professional with 40 plus years of experience in developing and managing new business initiatives, and negotiating retrospective discount arrangements with the pharmaceutical industry. Responsibilities with Express Scripts included rebate contracting and administration, formulary management, liaison with pharmaceutical manufacturers, consultant to provider groups and clients, and new product and business development with the pharmaceutical industry. Expertise includes strategic planning, operations management, and project development and management. In addition, he was a member of the merger and acquisitions team responsible for four company acquisitions.
Previous responsibilities include the development of a hospital group purchasing program for SSM Heath Care that led to significant savings for the organization. Prior to joining SSM, he was a medical service representative with Bristol Myers Squibb, responsible for medical and pharmaceutical sales to the hospital marketplace. He earned a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy and an MBA from St. Louis University.
